تحدث الداعية اليمني الشاب بلال الزهيري عن نقاط  مهمة حول لقائه الرئيس ترامب

وقال الزهيري في منشور عبر حائط صفحته الرسمية بموقع فيسبوك:

نقاط مهمة حول لقاءي مع الرئيس ترامب:

1. اللقاء كان تلبية لدعوة: 
لم يكن من العقل أو الحكمة او المروءة رفض الدعوة وتفويت فرصة لقاء رجل حكم أكبر دولة في العالم، وهناك احتمال كبير أن يعود رئيسًا مرة أخرى.ورايت ان من المصلحة الراجحة لجميع المسلمين ان اقوم بذلك.

2. ذهبت بصفتي مسلمًا وعربيًا/يمنيًا: 
لم يكن حضوري بهدف مصلحة شخصية، بل بصفتي قياديًا مسلمًا وشخصية عربية/يمنية احمل هموم امتي وجاليتي المسلمة والعربية واليمنية

3. طرح موضوع الحروب
: تحدثت معه عن ضرورة إيقاف الحروب الكارثية في الشرق الأوسط، وكان رده أن هذا سيكون أول ما يقوم به.

4. انتقاد تصريحاته: 
أخبرته أن بعض تصريحاته، خصوصًا عن اليمنيين، كانت خاطئة ومدمرة، خاصة بعد دعم الدكتور أمير غالب والكثير من اليمنيين له. وقد عبر عن اسفه وأكد أنه سينظر في الأمر بجدية.خصوصًا وان هناك جهود كبيرة من المقربين تهدف الى اصلاح الامر ..وقد اثنى على الدكتور غالب ووعد ان لا يخذله هو وكل من ايده من الجالية اليمنية  

5. لم أعلن تأييدي له حتى الآن: 
لم أتخذ قرارًا بتأييده،ولا زلت اروي في الامر

6. التوازن السياسي: 
أعتقد أنه من الخطأ أن نضع بيضنا كله في سلة واحدة ونقصي أنفسنا تمامًا من أكبر حزب في أمريكا، خصوصًا وأنه يفتح أبوابه لنا.

7. كسر الصورة النمطية: 
لقاءنا في حد ذاته كان خطوة لكسر الصورة النمطية الموجودة عند كثير من الجمهوريين عن المسلمين.

8. المرونة في المواقف: 
لم ننتقد من التقوا بقية المرشحين، لأننا نؤمن أن الأمر اجتهادي بحت.

Key Points About My Meeting with President Trump:

1. The meeting was in response to an invitation: 
It wouldn’t have been wise or prudent to refuse an invitation to meet a man who governed the most powerful country in the world, and there is a significant chance he may become president again. I believed it was in the best interest of Muslims to attend.

2. I attended as a Muslim leader and an Arab/Yemeni: 
My presence was not for personal gain, but in my capacity as a Muslim leader and an Arab/Yemeni figure.

3. Discussing the issue of wars: 
I addressed the need to stop the wars in the Middle East, to which he responded that this would be one of his top priorities.

4. Criticizing some of his statements: 
I told him that some of his statements, particularly about Yemenis, were harmful and wrong, especially given the support he received from Yemeni figures like Dr. Amir Ghalib and many others. He expressed his regret and assured me he would take the matter seriously, particularly as there are significant efforts from his close advisors to address the issue. He also praised Dr. Ghalib.

5. I have not endorsed him yet: 
I have not made any decision to endorse him,I’m still considering the matter

6. Political balance: 
I believe it would be a mistake to put all our eggs in one basket and completely exclude ourselves from the largest party in America, especially when it is opening its doors to us.

7. Breaking stereotypes: 
Our meeting was, in itself, a step toward breaking the stereotypes many Republicans hold about Muslims.

8. Flexibility in our stance: 
We did not criticize those who met with other candidates because we believe that this is a matter of individual judgment.
